Inorganic Pigment - Stable in water and solvent base systems and works perfectly with our epoxy! Each person sees color a little differently, please contact us if you have any questions about the color before purchase.
There is no standard calculation for mixing pigment into epoxy. We have researched and found a range between 1g of color pigment per 1-8oz of epoxy. We recommend starting with 1g pigment per 8oz of epoxy and adjust your amount needed from there until you get the color your looking for. Pigment type, effect, base poured on, desired look, opaque or transparency, etc. all effect that mix ratio. We highly recommend to always do a small test pour to see if that is the desired ratio for the project.
Mixing Instructions:
We recommend mixing the pigment into the Hardener after it has been poured into your mixing container, this allows for the pigment to get well mixed without the risk of the epoxy setting up during the mixing process. You will want to start with small amounts of pigment and mix it into the Hardener then add more according to what you are wanting. You can always add more if it is not enough. Once the pigment is mixed into the Hardener you can then add in your Resin and follow the mixing times of the epoxy instructions included in the box with your order. Once the resin has been mixed into the colored hardener according to the mixing instructions included in the box with your order it needs to be poured onto the surface immediately so that it does not setup in the mixing container.
