Liquid Dyes vs Mica Powder Pigments: Which is right for you?
Pigmently Liquid Dyes:Blend quickly resulting in a strong singular color tone. The epoxy itself is tinted resulting in a consistent epoxy color for the entire epoxy project.
Pigmently Powder Pigments:Used to create rich, subtle variations of colors and texture effects.
Some mica powders may shimmer in the light while others give a multi-tone colored finish. You can achieve a mesmerizing granite or marble like appearance using different mica powder pigments.
Portion/ Mixing Guide For Pigmently Liquid Epoxy Dyes
Please note that there is no exact ratio of epoxy dye to epoxy resin.
For general use: 1 bottle of dye per mixed gallon of epoxy will result in a solid color of your choice.
For the best/most accurate results, start by adding a small amount and continue to add more until you have achieved your desired color.
We recommend adding the liquid dyes to the hardener component in a separate container before combining the hardener and resin components together in your epoxy mixing container.
For example, if you need to mix a one-gallon batch of epoxy, you should first measure out a half-gallon of the epoxy hardener in a container, then slowly add/mix the liquid dye into it completely. From there just mix the hardener with a half-gallon of the epoxy resin component in your mixing container.

**Dye is sold by WEIGHT and NOT by volume like some other retailers. We want you to receive the true amount of dye you need. The color shown on the listing, website, brochure or any marketing materials may not be exact due to monitor/printing process limitations. Each person sees color a little differently!

Very concentrated product. One think I keep an eye out for is if the dye will disturb the curing process by causing an imbalance of product ratios. I haven’t had any issues! Good cures and great results!
