UltraClear presents: What is an epoxy resin table?

Epoxy table tops or epoxy countertops are any surfaces that have been given an epoxy resin coating. In most cases this is done with a clear epoxy resin. However, epoxy can also be tinted with unique colorants to imbue it with vivid colors and patterns.

At UltraClear Epoxy, we sell premium epoxy resins that are easy to use for beginners but provide a professional-quality finish.

For crafting an epoxy resin table, our UltraClear Table Top Epoxy is the ideal choice.

It's commercial-grade, yet simple to apply, featuring a unique formula that self-levels to 1/8 of an inch; that's twice the thickness of most other epoxy resins, providing you with a much stronger finish that will perfectly safeguard your beautiful surfaces.

Other features of our UltraClear Table Top Epoxy include:

  • Phenomenal strength—with ultra-high resistance to scratches, dents, and more.
  • Crystal-clear appearance—our resin exhibits a glasslike transparency. You get a tough-as-nails surface with pristine clarity.
  • Safe to use—UltraClear resins cure to a non-toxic, food safe finish with no VOCs (volatile organic compounds). Friends, children, and curious pets are safe around UltraClear finishes. And even better—it's easy to clean and low-maintenance!
  • 100% made in the USA—that's right, our resin is sourced and manufactured right here in America— never imported!

Our own high standards for quality and safety easily surpass the requirements and suggested guidelines posed by international organizations such as the Environmental Protection Agency and the World Health Organization.

How Much Do I Need?

Epoxy coatings are usually done in two stages: A seal coat followed by a flood coat.

Seal Coat

A seal coat is a quick and easy application using a brush, with the goal of "sealing" porous surfaces such as wood and ensuring a clean bond for your flood coat.

For the seal coat, 1 gallon will cover roughly 48 square feet, which can be manually applied with a quality paintbrush.

Flood Coat

The flood coat is a larger batch that you pour onto your surface shortly after the seal coat. This is the main part of the project, and once it's on there, you can quickly remove air bubbles and let it cure to perfection.

For the flood coat, 1 gallon of epoxy resin will cover 16 square feet, and with our epoxy, it will self-level, doing most of the work for you.
